🇺🇸🇸🇾 The United States maintains contact with opposition forces in Syria, including Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, and is considering removing it from the list of terrorist groups, according to the Washington Post.
The Western media surpass themselves. Julani is now not only a "progressive and moderate jihadist," but also a "diversity-friendly jihadist."
The Washington Post, by the way, has already written that the United States is thinking about excluding HTS from the list of terrorists.
Insane Interview with HTS Leader in Times of Israel
In the interview, the rebel leader expressed a desire for peaceful relations with Israel and even praised Israeli strikes on Hezbollah and Iranian infrastructure in Syria multiple times. He wants not only full normalization with the entity, but he also hinted at procuring Western reconstruction aid and for Israel to "plant a rose in the Syrian garden."
HTS now seeks to normalize relations with Israel—the very state instrumental in the destruction of Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon. While positioning themselves as liberators, they openly align with a country responsible for decades of occupation, ethnic cleansing, and destabilization across the Middle East.
🇵🇸🇸🇾 JUST IN! The Palestinian Hamas movement welcomed the change of power in Syria, describing the recent events in the country as "a success for the Syrian people on their path toward achieving freedom and justice."
🇸🇾 Turkey knew about the plans for the offensive of the armed opposition in Syria, according to Reuters. According to sources in the SAR, the armed opposition informed Ankara of the offensive plan six months ago and considered that it had secured its "tacit approval."
"The message was: "The other way has not worked for many years, so try ours. You don't need to do anything, just don't interfere,"
the agency reports, noting that the conversation took place after Ankara's unsuccessful attempts to make contact with Assad.
The Iranians gave 3 months warning.
The rebels were well equipped with all American made arms.
They just stood down.
🇮🇷🇸🇾 Iranian military advisor who returned from Syria 24 hours ago: we warned the Syrians about the impending attack three months before it began
Amir Hossein Hadji Nasiri:
We were on high alert three months before the events, as we received information that the enemy was planning an attack on Aleppo from the Idlib direction. This area became the center of concentration for all armed groups supported by Israel and Turkey. We informed the Syrian side about this.
On the second day of Bashar al-Assad's visit to Russia, the battle for Aleppo began. Various units of the Syrian army retreated without resistance, and only the Shiite forces started fighting. We had never seen such a retreat by the Syrians before.
All the equipment of the Syrian armed opposition was American-made. In 2015, we fought in Syria against opponents who only had torn jeans and Kalashnikov rifles. Now, we saw them with professional military gear and American weapons. Their equipment was armored, indicating long-term preparation for combat.
Syria did not belong to us for us to negotiate about. We went there to stop our enemy 2,000 kilometers from our borders, ensuring the safety of our people. The future will show what will happen with the situation in Syria.

🇸🇾🇮🇱 The complete destruction of the Syrian military potential by Israel is taking place against the background of deathly silence on the part of the armed groups that control the country today. Although what can they say? But if they do, what can they do? And why do anything when there is so much more to be taken out of various state institutions, palaces and shrines. We must save our strength.
The Arab writer and analyst Sameh Askar spoke well about this:
"After Israel destroyed the Syrian Air Force and air defense with the complicity of the Julani gangs ruling Syria, it, in coordination with Al-Qaeda (banned in Russia) and the Muslim Brotherhood (banned in Russia), destroys the Syrian fleet in the port of Latakia.
The story goes that the Ikhwans and Al-Qaeda, with the support of Turkey, disarmed Syria, rolled back its military potential for several decades. And an invasion of Syrian territory will soon follow without the slightest resistance or objections."
Israel has used the takeover by "moderate democratic" head-choppers to slag Syria's air force, navy, air defenses and most military infrastructure, according to reports from the ground. The IDF has also expanded a "buffer zone" adjacent to the annexed Golan Heights towards Damascus.
No comment by the protectors of the "rules-based international order", or proclamations how one doesn't just invade and annex territory, that's Simply Not Done and Examples Must Be Made. Of course not, this is different™️…
🇸🇾❌🇺🇸🇹🇷 Assad rejected a deal with the U.S. before his overthrow, The Washington Post reported.
Before the Western-backed "opposition" advance in Syria, the Americans offered him to stop allowing Iran to use his territory for Hezbollah. In return, the U.S. promised a gradual lifting of sanctions against Syria.
More fatal for Assad was his refusal to improve relations with Erdogan, who proposed normalizing ties with Damascus in exchange for restraining Kurdish groups and allowing the return of at least some Syrian refugees to the republic.
Key points from the speech of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei:
– There is no doubt that what happened in Syria was planned by the United States and Israel. We have clear evidence
– The neighboring country [Turkey] played an obvious role in what happened and continues to do so.
– The more you push, the stronger the Axis of resistance becomes... With the permission of Allah, the resistance front will cover the entire region with even greater force
– The occupied areas of Syria will be liberated by the brave Syrian youth – there is no doubt about it, it will certainly happen. And the United States will not be able to gain a foothold in the region
Fwd from @ne_rybar
The question was raised about where the promised Iranian troops and Hezbollah are.
As for Hezbollah, it's simple - the Lebanese group suffered serious losses in command and rank-and-file during the last war with Israel. Therefore, Hezbollah was only able to deploy small forces in Homs, which is likely its current limit for such operations.
The case with Iran is more complicated: even setting aside political factors, the issue of logistics arises - how to ensure the transportation of troops and materiel. The land corridor through Iraq is closed - Deir ez-Zor was taken by the Kurds, and the highway in the desert is controlled by militants from At-Tanf. Airlifting everything to Damascus is prevented by the Israeli Air Force, which threatens to simply shoot down the aircraft.
So in this situation, Iran can only wish Assad good spirits, as it currently lacks the real ability to provide large-scale military support and maintain its "Shiite crescent".

❗️Turkey, again playing all against all
Turkey presents itself as a close ally and "big brother" to the Central Asia countries, emphasizing shared linguistic, cultural and historical ties. Aspiring to position itself as a guiding force and model for Central Asian countries, through initiatives in economic cooperation, regional security, and infrastructure development, Turkey seeks to strengthen its influence while fostering unity within the Turkic world. A world led by Turkey of course.
However at the same time, closer to home, Turkey uses radical jihadist groups in Syria, whose members are largely drawn from Central Asia, especially Uzbeks, Tajiks and Uyghurs, providing them with sanctuary, funding, training, logistics, and even military support.
Attention in Central Asia with regards to Islamic fundamentalism has tended to focus on the dangers that the Uzbek and Tajik groups in Afghanistan represent. While this concern may be valid given the region's shared borders and the Taliban's resurgence, it overlooks a far greater danger: the involvement of Central Asian, especially Uzbek, Islamic fundamentalists in the Syrian conflict. Uzbek militant groups such as Katibat Imam al-Bukhari and Jamaat Tawhid wal-Jihad have been active in Syria for years.
Western intelligence agencies are almost certainly playing a role as well. Their involvement in Syria has led to the flourishing of the jihadist groups. This environment has enabled Uzbek fighters to integrate into networks that extend far beyond Syria, connecting them to global jihadist agendas.
An alarming development is the cross-pollination of tactics between the Syrian conflict and the war in Ukraine. Fighters in Idlib are learning modern warfare techniques deployed in Ukraine, including the use of drones and hybrid warfare strategies. Ukrainian military intelligence (GUR) personnel have been active in Idlib, contributing to this exchange of knowledge. The lessons from Ukraine are shaping the strategies of Central Asian fighters, enhancing their operational capabilities and making them more dangerous if and when they return home.
The implications for Central Asia are profound. Fighters returning from Syria would bring combat experience, radical ideologies, and advanced warfare tactics. This poses a severe risk to Central Asian countries already grappling with economic challenges and political instability.
As always, Turkey is playing a double (or triple or quadruple) game. "Big brother" to the Turkic people's of Asia but at the same time, the benefactor of their most implacable enemies, the Uzbek and Tajik jihadists.
Here Turkey is your ally and best friend, in another place, supporting your enemy, and over there directly stabbing you in the back.
The Central Asian countries had best be wary.

John Kerry talks about killing Assad and spending vast sums to destabilize Syria:
🇺🇸🇸🇾 Document from Hillary Clinton’s State Department emails:
“The best to way to help Israel deal with Iran’s growing nuclear capability is to help the people of Syria overthrow the regime of Bashar Assad…It is the strategic relationship between Iran and the regime of Assad in Syria that makes it possible for Iran to undermine Israel’s security.”
Page 2:
“Libya was an easier case…[but] the Libyan operation had no long-lasting consequences for the region. Syria is harder. But success in Syria would be a transformative event for the Middle East…the region would be changed for the better as Iran would no longer have a foothold in the Middle East from which to threaten Israel”.
“Washington should start expressing its willingness to work with regional allies like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar to organize, train and arm Syrian rebel forces…Then, using territory in Turkey and possibly Jordan, US diplomats and Pentagon can start strengthening the opposition. It will take time.”
“Victor will not come quickly or easily, but it will come. And the payoff will be substantial. Iran would be strategically isolated, unable to exert its influence in the Middle East. The resulting regime in Syria will see the United States as a friend, not an enemy…And a new Syrian regime might well be open to early action on frozen peace talks with Israel. Hezbollah in Lebanon would be cut off from its Iranian sponsors since Syria would no longer be a transit point for Iranian training, assistance and missiles.”

🇸🇾 Western-Backed Pipeline Wars: How U.S. and Allies Fueled Syria's Destruction
The ongoing turmoil in Syria is deeply intertwined with two pipeline projects that have been central to shaping alliances and hostilities in the Middle East:
➡️Iran-Iraq-Syria Pipeline (Friendship Pipeline)
- Proposed Route: From Iran’s South Pars/North Dome field, through Iraq, into Syria, and extending to the Mediterranean for export to Europe.
- Strategic Goals:
Bypass Gulf states and Turkey, giving Iran a direct energy route to Europe.
Strengthen the Iran-Iraq-Syria axis, reinforcing Iran’s influence.
- Backers: Iran, Iraq, Syria, with potential Russian involvement.
- Status and Challenges:
Dormant since Syria’s civil war escalated.
U.S. sanctions on Iran and Syria impede financing and international support.
Syria’s ongoing instability leaves the route vulnerable to conflict.
➡️Qatar-Turkey Pipeline
- Proposed Route: From Qatar’s share of the South Pars/North Dome field, via Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Syria (or Iraq), reaching Turkey and Europe.
- Strategic Goals:
Offer Europe a non-Russian/non-Iranian energy source.
Consolidate Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) dominance in global energy markets.
Elevate Turkey’s role as an energy transit hub, increasing its geopolitical leverage.
- Backers: Qatar, Turkey, Western-aligned interests, including the U.S. and EU.
- Status and Challenges:
Assad’s government rejected the pipeline in 2009, aligning with Iran’s project instead.
Regional instability and shifting alliances have diminished momentum.
➡️A Battleground for Pipeline Politics
The Syrian civil war has magnified the strategic importance of these pipelines. In 2009, Assad’s rejection of the Qatar-Turkey pipeline in favor of Iran’s project spurred regional opposition, with Gulf states and Turkey backing rebel factions. This set the stage for Syria to become a proxy battleground, with external powers vying for influence.
➡️Why This Matters:
The Iran-Iraq-Syria pipeline strengthens the “Axis of Resistance” against U.S. and Gulf state dominance, while the Qatar-Turkey project aligns with Western goals to isolate Iran and secure alternative energy supplies for Europe.
Both pipelines symbolize competing visions of regional power: Iran’s desire for self-sufficiency versus Qatar’s alliance with U.S.-led blocs.
🇮🇱⚔️🇸🇾 Israeli tanks are now reportedly just 3 kilometers from Qatana, a town in the southern outskirts of Damascus, approximately 20 kilometers from the capital.
After combating terrorism and rebel groups for over twelve years, the former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad fled the capital of Damascus with his family on December 7, shortly before it fell to the rebels. The victorious insurgents are the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) organization along with an umbrella group called the Syrian National Army.
Craig Murray (former British ambassador to Uzbekistan), in a panel about “the end of pluralism in the Middle East”, described the “Syrian rebels” as “a tool of NATO, Israel and Turkey”. This is a complex description for a complex situation indeed. Of the three, many analysts are focusing on the Israeli and Turkish angle—not so much on the American angle, though.
To recap, since the 2011 armed rebellion, Syria has counted on military aid from its allies Iran and Russia. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard, as well as the (Tehran-backed) Lebanese Hezbollah have in fact been the main anti-terrorist actors in the Levant, by deterring the expansion of terrorist group ISIS (Daesh) and thereby making the region safer for Christians and other minorities. Islamic Wahhabi/Salafi extremists were, after all, beheading some of them while kidnapping others and selling women as slaves.
The fact is that the rebels who have won in Syria now are not of a very different persuasion, and it is no wonder many are now concerned. Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens for one has urged the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs to aid the Christian population in Syria. He wrote:
“The advance of extremist armed groups and the capture of Aleppo threaten… the interfaith composition of the region’s population… there is now a looming danger of the complete eradication… of Greek Orthodoxy and Christianity from the wider region.”
Such concerns are well founded. One should bear in mind that (Saudi-born) Abu Mohammed al-Julani, the very leader of Turkish-backed HTS, the group who has captured Aleppo (Syria’s second largest city), joined Al-Qaeda in Iraq in 2003, later establishing its split branch in Syria, the so-called al-Nusra Front. This group, under al-Julani, cooperated with the infamous Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, leader of Al-Qaeda’s split offshoot called “Islamic State in Iraq”, later known as ISIL (ISIS) or Daesh.
Al-Julani’s own later split from al-Qaeda and creation of the aforementioned HTS has been described as a merely “bid” to “stress his group’s national, as opposed to transnational, ambitions.” In other words, the group is just another re-branded offshoot of ISIS/Al-Qaeda. And those are the people who have now conquered Syria.
…
the US-backed Syrian Free Army (a coalition which has taken control of Hom’s Palmyra district) announced that they are “open to friendship with everyone in the region – including Israel. We don’t have enemies other than the Assad regime, Hezbollah and Iran. What Israel did against Hezbollah in Lebanon helped us a great deal”–while claiming they are not allied with Turkey. The group, being increasingly dependent on Turkey, is a close ally of the United States, and was even hosted at the American military base at al-Tanf. Turkey, despite its differences with Washington is of course also, let us not forget it, a NATO member.
HTS is indeed Turkish-backed but, as mentioned, its roots can be traced to Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and other such groups empowered by Washington’s policy.
Moreover, there is nothing new about the West praising and empowering brutal terrorism and radicals when such is deemed geopolitically convenient: if former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton under President Barack Obama had achieved her stated goals, Syria would be in a similar situation to Libya since 2011 – in Libya, coincidence or not, arms provided by the US to rebels there also “ended up” in ISIS hands, according to Amnesty reports.
The infamous Clinton emails also show how the US was aware of their allies Qatar and Saudi Arabia supporting Daesh terror.
Trump for one has posted that “Syria is a mess, but is not our friend”.
🇮🇱🇸🇾❗️Change of power in Damascus opens new opportunities for Israel, Netanyahu says
Netanyahu arrived at the border with Syria and stated that the change of power in Damascus was the result of Israeli strikes on Iran and Hezbollah.
A rather good rant:
Washington's Mockery of Justice: From 9/11 to Terrorist Rebranding
The Biden administration isn’t just flirting with hypocrisy, it’s marrying it. Reports from NBC suggest the U.S. is considering removing Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, formerly al-Qaeda) from its terrorist blacklist. HTS, the principal force behind Syria's "new transitional government," has been handed the reins of power while wearing the bloodstained robes of terror.
In 2012, Jake Sullivan, working under Secretary Clinton, infamously declared, “AQ (al-Qaeda) is on our side in Syria.” What a legacy. The group that orchestrated 9/11, leaving over 3,000 dead, has now been rebranded as a partner of convenience in Washington's imperial chessboard. What must the families of 9/11’s victims think, watching this unholy resurrection unfold in plain sight?
HTS isn’t “reformed.” It’s not “moderate.” It’s the same Frankenstein of al-Qaeda, now dolled up with a new logo and suits, spouting inclusive buzzwords to seduce the naïve. Beneath the facade lies the same ideology of bloodletting, terror, and chaos. Washington’s embrace of HTS doesn’t just mock the victims of terror, it spits on their graves.
The contempt is staggering. The U.S., with its Caesar Sanctions, didn’t just target Syria, it engineered its suffocation. Under the guise of “punishing a regime,” Washington systematically dismantled an entire nation’s economy, turning survival into a battlefield. And then the masterstroke: legitimizing its pet terrorists-for-hire… the same proxies it armed and unleashed, as a “governing body.” This isn’t just cynical; it’s Orwellian. The architects of destruction now anoint the arsonists as firefighters, leaving the Syrian people to sift through the ashes of sovereignty.
Let’s not mince words: this isn’t foreign policy. It’s necropolitics where lives are pawns, morality is optional, and chaos is currency. The victims of 9/11? Forgotten. Syrian civilians under HTS rule? Collateral damage. The Resistance? Vilified for daring to resist.
HTS is not the future of Syria; it’s the cancer metastasizing in its ruins, with Washington holding the scalpel. What does this grotesque dance with terror achieve? It’s all about control, the pipelines and imperial plunder, at the expense of another failed state and a decimated people.
The empire has no red lines, no principles, and no shame. Its terror-for-hire playbook is etched into the very fabric of its imperial project. And for those still watching in disbelief, the script hasn’t changed, just the audacity.

Foreign-Funded Green Groups Lead Charge Against Trump Interior Nominee Doug Burgum
QUOTE: Influential climate groups bankrolled by Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss have emerged as some of the loudest voices opposing President-elect Donald Trump's nomination of Gov. Doug Burgum to lead the Department of the Interior.
"The threat speaks for itself," Climate Power said immediately after Burgum's nomination was announced last month, characterizing the North Dakota governor as a "climate skeptic."
The League of Conservation Voters accused Burgum of working to enrich oil executives, while the Wilderness Society vowed to "defend against any attempts" to increase fossil fuel development on public lands.
The Department of the Interior will likely play a critical role in implementing Trump's energy and "drill, baby, drill" agenda. Pope Francis is preparing to unbrick and open five ‘sacred portals’ symbolising the doorway to salvation.
The doors are only opened once every 25 years, so may well be a little rusty.

In Rebibbia Prison, the process will be different as it is the main door of the prison which will be used as a symbol for all prisons in the world.
They were last opened in 2016, during an ‘extraordinary’ extra Jubilee called the Year of Mercy, having previously stayed closed since the turn of the Millennium.
And they won’t be opened again until we go into 2050.
