Getting students focussed on paying off their debt gets them back into the workforce and off the streets demonstrating:
"We have almost $1.7 trillion in student debt, and none of the collections have been made since March of 2020. So, it's time to have people be accountable again for their debts... we'd like to help them get out of default, but at the same time, this is something they owe... other taxpayers shouldn't have to pay this burden."
War on Harvard:
On Wednesday, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced that her agency is canceling two of its own grants, totaling $2.7 million, to Harvard University as part of the administration’s crackdown on so-called campus “antisemitism.”
“Harvard bending the knee to antisemitism — driven by its spineless leadership — fuels a cesspool of extremist riots and threatens our national security,” Noem said in a press release. “With anti-American, pro-Hamas ideology poisoning its campus and classrooms, Harvard’s position as a top institution of higher learning is a distant memory. America demands more from universities entrusted with taxpayer dollars.”
Noem added, “With a $53.2 billion endowment, Harvard can fund its own chaos—DHS won’t.”
$2.7 million cut in grants? That won’t cut it. It’s a drop of water in the ocean.
Even the Trump administration’s recent funding freezes aren’t good enough. A billion here, a billion there. Will that actually make a difference in the long run if Harvard’s endowment is $53.2 billion?

As part of its ongoing battle with the university, the White House sent a list of demands, including federal oversight of the university’s admissions, hiring practices, and the ideological stance of students and staff, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Trump officials reportedly believed the list they sent last Friday was meant to be a confidential starting point for negotiations. However, they were caught off guard when Harvard made it public.
Harvard’s decision to go public has put the assigned task force in a very different situation compared to that of Columbia, which reportedly quickly agreed to the demands in an effort to recover $400 million in federal funding.
Trump May Pay Women $5,000 to Have a Baby
The media never talks about this, but America’s fertility rate is plummeting.
According to the CDC, the crucial metric recently dropped to an all-time low of 54.5 births per 1,000 women, less than half its 1950s peak of 122.9. Furthermore, all fifty states have seen declines since 2005, highlighted by Utah, which had a drop of nearly 34%.
The president is reportedly eyeing legislation to give every new mom a $5,000 “baby bonus” to encourage young Americans to start families and lessen the financial burden of doing so.

Within two hours, the FBI ultimately requested the THP release Garcia and the passengers in his vehicle. THP complied with the request.
The Star learned from sources familiar with the incident that Abrego Garcia was stopped for an unknown reason on December 6, 2022, and that the THP officer responsible for the stop immediately discovered Abrego Garcia was transporting seven passengers, with eight individuals inside the vehicle.

FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) - The U.S. Attorney’s office said two Mexican nationals are facing charges after thousands of rounds of ammunition were found in their vehicle.
Fremont County deputies said they stopped a vehicle in Canon City on March 26.
Officials said deputies searched the vehicle and ended up finding around 150 boxes of .308 ammunition and another 30 boxes of 7.62 ammunition.

Judge Deals Massive Antitrust Blow to Google
Google’s online empire might be starting to crumble.
A federal judge and Clinton-era appointee delivered a massive win for the DOJ in its crackdown on Big Tech, ruling Thursday that Google illegally monopolized the online ad technology market.
The DOJ has long alleged that Google's ad business crushes competition and gives the company complete control over the ad supply chain from both the buy and sell sides.
U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema finally dropped the hammer Thursday, ruling that Google used anticompetitive practices to dominate the digital ad space in publisher ad servers and ad exchanges, both of which underpin most online ad transactions.
"Google has violated Section 2 of the Sherman Act by willfully acquiring and maintaining monopoly power in the open-web display publisher ad server market and the open-web display ad exchange market, and has unlawfully tied its publisher ad server (DFP) and ad exchange (AdX) in violation of Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act," the judge wrote.

On Apr. 13, China halted exports of a range of critical rare earth metals and minerals, such as samarium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, lutetium, scandium, and yttrium.
China produces around 90% of the world's rare earth metals, which are crucial to the manufacturing of automobiles, aerospace, semiconductors, and defense equipment globally. Most of the U.S. supply comes from China.
China had earlier banned exports of gallium, germanium, antimony, etc., crucial to military applications, to the U.S.
The U.S.'s latest tariff hike on Chinese imports is a response to these actions.
"China now faces up to a 245% tariff on imports to the United States as a result of its retaliatory actions," the fact sheet mentioned.
The U.S. is reliant on "foreign sources, particularly adversarial nations," for critical minerals, and foreign players have engaged in arbitrary export restrictions, among other tactics, using their supply chain dominance as a tool for geopolitical and economic leverage over the U.S., the fact sheet alleged.
Note that Trump hiked tariffs on 180 countries on Apr. 2 as part of his tariff war before pausing them for 90 days for all except China on Apr. 9.
As of now, Chinese tariffs on U.S. imports stand at 125%, and the U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports stand at 245%.
Now it shifts to allies like Japan and South Korea for electronics and for our domestic and Russian supplies or rare earths ...
