Lessons from Ukraine:
Ukranians routinely stored ammunition and weapons at nuclear power plants knowing Russia would not attack them. Did Hamas do the same thing, using a parking lot next to a hospital for cover?
Ukranians also routinely used ambulances to transport soldiers, expecting them not to be attacked. If there was a ammunition depot in the parking area could the Israelis have detected and targeted it? Could it have been a very large amount of ammunition there - enough to destroy the adjacent hospital and the Israelis didn't know or consider that?
Several of the entities are unlikely to have encouraged the war:
Hamas and Israel are the public face of the war and are the ones actually paying the highest price in lives and damage.
Russia or China would have been detected and it would have been on the front pages worldwide, so it's not likely they did sought to create a war.
Depopulation backers, Satanists, Global Warming Zealots and/or Devout Jews seeking destruction for quasi-religious reasons could theoretically contribute to the development of the war.
Iran could have done it in support of Jihad but it would be likely to be detected by Israel and made public worldwide.
