Elon Musk called for the impeachment of Engelmayer after his controversial decision to block the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing a crucial Treasury payment system.
Obama appointee Judge Paul A. Engelmayer issued an ex parte temporary restraining order that restricted access to Treasury systems exclusively to “civil servants,” explicitly excluding “all political appointees” from accessing these systems.

A federal judge dropped a bombshell on Saturday, issuing an order that no only temporarily blocks the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing essential data on federal payments but also bars Treasury officials from accessing data managed by the agency.
According to the order, only “civil servants with a need for access to perform their job duties within the Bureau of Fiscal Services who have passed all background checks and security clearances and taken all information security training called for in federal statutes and Treasury Department regulations” can access the data, while “all political appointees, special government employees, and government employees detailed from an agency outside the Treasury Department” cannot, pending a hearing scheduled for February 13.
The judge also ordered that any Treasury data that has already been collected must be destroyed.
Since the Treasury secretary is a political appointee, this outrageous ruling essentially bars him from viewing or managing the sensitive financial data of his own department. This unprecedented act not only strips the Treasury secretary of a fundamental responsibility but also undermines the executive branch's authority to effectively oversee its financial operations.
Judge Paul Engelmayer, who made the ruling, is an Obama appointee.
Think it can’t get worse? Well, it can. As Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) noted, the Obama judge didn’t even allow the Trump administration to appear in court to challenge it, and there was no legal precedent to justify the order.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, in 2022, Biden’s U.S. Department of Agriculture sought to punish schools that did not adopt the radical LGBT agenda by denying underprivileged children access to free or reduced lunches under its National School Lunch Program.
The administration had rolled out a new interpretation of the anti-discrimination Title IXthat demanded schools embrace sexual perversion in all forms, including allowing gender-confused boys to play in girls’ sports and enter their locker rooms.
This madness was predictably unpopular among some parents.
Those who challenged their school boards to reject such lunacy, such as in Loudon County, Virginia, were stonewalled and otherwise mistreated by their local officials.
Georgia’s Forsyth County School District was charged with Title IX violations for banning obscene or explicit books from the school library.
“The Education Department, your department, has proposed a rule change that would pull federal funding from schools that don’t allow biological males to compete against girls in sports,” he went on.
“Mr. Secretary, yes or no, does that mean that your department would take away school lunch programs for needy kids because a state or a school won’t allow a boy to compete against a girl in the sports?” Banks prodded.
Cardona evaded the question, but Banks continued to push him. “No, no, I’m asking you a question. Do you support taking away school lunches from kids who go to schools where boys aren’t allowed to play on girls’ sports teams?”

This is unconscionable considering that in fiscal year 2022, the USDA served 4.9 billion free or reduced lunches to eligible kids — but they were willing to let them go hungry if their school didn’t fall in line.

In the first Trump administration, all without his knowledge, this agency had hired transgender activists, multiple people from porn websites, and a “kink-aware professional."
